I made some mods to the factory headlights! I separated the lens from the housing, took out the amber lens and tinted it with spay tint then clear coated it and reinstalled everything. I just didn't like the bright yellow lens. Also did the mirrors and cab lights. They all still shine orange at night. Thought I'd share the pics and see what you all think? Good, bad or different? There are before and after pics.

Definitely gave the truck a meaner look.Not too sure about the signal mirrors but I like the headlights.

I like it! Especially the headlights. How much dimmer are the cab and mirror lights at night?

MIrror and cab lights are about 50% dimmer. I didn't really like the cab lights shining on my hood anyway.

I like the clear bulb idea. I think I remember someone talking about a clear or even a blue bulb that still lites up amber. anyone know what I'm talking about?

nice to see that you can take the headlights apart and modifiy them. That is one of the very first things I plan on doing to my new truck.... i'm going to see about just taking the orange piece out all together and running a silverstar bulb in there.... Gonna have to see how it looks.... if that doesn't look good enough... I'm run with your idea.

I like the looks of the stock lenses but your tires look awesome, gotta love BFG's, and the grille looks good, too. Nice truck!

I dont think the Econoline van is out yet, but I'm under the impression that the headlights will be the same as the truck except no amber stripe. When available, the swap would be easy.

I just ordered some as well. When I took the amber bulb out the head light looked much better. So I ordered the chrome ones too.

they were so dim (from the mirror tint) i said to hell
w/ 'em and tossed 'em ! YMMV...proceed w/ caution.

Look pretty bright to me.

I have put them in probably over 5 trucks/cars. All my 3 vechicles and 2 friends of mine.
