Or you can just buy a Tymar kit...not as much as you think..and proven..Pm me if I can help.
I agree with Caryt...they are one of the best air filtration kits available for the OBS trucks.

Picture of mine (the one on the 94) in my sig. I would also just get the TYMAR if doing it over. Cheers!

Made my own Tymar, but if doing over again would just by from him directly.

Replacement filter $35 or so from my local International dealer (Fleetguard AH1141 if I recall correctly). If I had it to do over I would also go with the TYMAR - more professional installation and reasonable for what you get.

What are you guys doing with the air temp. sensor?

When I did mine, I just unplugged it.

seems to work good....

Can I expect any problems by unplugging it?

hope not... I threw the actual sensor away with the stock airbox..:icon_rolleyes:

When I did mine on my OBS truck I Ty-wrapped it to a harness near the filter.

Zip tied mine to the inner fender about 4" from the air filter - temp reading should be pretty close 6-8" away and on the other side of a very free flowing filter media. In the 10 years since I installed mine I have not had an issue related to the filter or the placement of the intake temp sensor.

Leave it plugged in (the PCM likes to see an input from it and it's probably better to have an actual input versus the default value it probably uses when unplugged). Cheers!
