So I bought an Auto Enginuity Ford package and tried doing a CCT. It said that it would give a report and any low cylinders would be shown in the form of a trouble code. However it just said test completed and never showed me anything about results. I have seen pictures of what people have done before with their trucks but I don't know how to access the results.

Also I installed a fuel pressure gauge last night. When I accelerate hard I can get my fuel pressure to drop from 60psi down to 40. (measured on the passenger port by the bowl drain lever.) If I accelerate normal it doesn't drop any or if any more than maybe 2 psi. Is this more likely a weak pump or a plugged fuel filter?

I know the truck has another small pump installed before the factory one so I'm not sure whether or not the factory one is any good. I think the second one may have been installed to fix a "low pressure" situation but is merely a bandaid not a fix.

My pump pressure does not drop below 65 psi on acceleration either. I don't think that is a bad thing. Maybe you have a properly working pump.

The CCT will only return codes if there is an issue. If there are no problems, it just reports "test completeted" - I don't get any error codes either - and I don't want too...

Have you done the Hutch mod? You may have a moderate obstruction in the tank screens that doesn't affect it until you really push it.

Unless somebody installed a second pump, you only have the one on the framerail. Dropping down to 40 isn't the greatest, but I wouldn't replace the pump because of it. If I remember right, it's still in spec. I will have to check.
As for the CCT test, evidently you don't have any issues to trigger a code. If you want to see the actual numbers, go to the second tab (live data meter) and select a cylinder in each box. The last box can be used for rpm. You can go to the graph if you wish. I suggest checking out Woodnthings guide to AE. Rt has the link.

Fuel system mods I have done:
Baldwin spin on fuel filter (BF7587?) before the pumps
Drilled my banjo-bolts in the heads to flow more fuel
Removed the safety device from the fuel filter bowl

Where do I find the woodnthings guide?

Thanks guys. I'll be sure to read through that entire thing. Even bookmarked it. Woodnthings sure has put alot of time into going through stuff like that. I really appreciate it when people enable the do-it-your-selfers to do more!
