A subject I rarely see on these pages is tire pressure.
I have a stock F-250/PSD and want advise on how high to air up the tires when I'm , when I'm (LAX <> LAS), and when I'm pulling a 30' 5er. I have no trouble figuring out automobile tire pressure, including a small delta between front and back to account for engine weight, suspension etc. I rotate at 5,000 miles, and I go front to back and vice versa.
BTW: I don't mind a hard ride to trade for fuel economy, and I'll soften them a bit for a better ride. But what about the 6.0L PSD?
Where are the SOFT, ECONOMY, and TOW pressures?
Thank you,
Dave

Do a search for posts by Smokeywren (sp?). He has replied to many tire pressure questions and seems to have it down to a science. Seems to me that many of his posts have been in the towing/hauling section if that helps you any.

FWIW, I run mine at 65 front and 75 rear all the time so it is ready to hook up the horse trailer at any time. I could probably get away with running much less and get a much better ride to boot, but I don't want to have to fart around adjusting air pressure before hooking up to go somewhere. (Yeah, you could say that I'm a little lazy /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif)

I don't tow or haul on a daily basis. The door jam on my F250 says 55psi front, and 70 in the rear. You have to assume that it is posted for max gwvr. So, I run 55-60 psi in the front and back, unless I'm loading it up. When I say load it up, I mean 1 ton of stone or something like that, in which case, I inflate the rear to 70 psi. When I unload, I drop the pressure back to 55 psi. I am pleased with this method, and I have 38,000 miles on a set of BFG Rugged Trails and they look like they have 50% left.

I run 65 all 4 tires all the time. I've tried more and less but 65 seems to be just about right for my driving habits.
