Howdy Gents

A while back there was a post on some new style "extra wide" lipped axle seals availible from Napa for the Dana 60.

Does anyone know the post I mentioned or part # as I cant find a thing on or about it & sure would like to find it as my local Napa only has a part # of 15692 which is a Chigaco Rawhide seal & none availible in the store to look at.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as the front end begins to come apart tomorrow eve for fresh R&P job & I'd like to put those wide seals in for extra insurance while the diff is out /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I tried to search (latest archive cannot be searched), but couldn't locate it. Some numbers I've found:

Inner Seal: NOS 14634

Outer Seal: NOS 21918

he seal is a dana spicer seal part #TSK-D60F-2

If you are looking for the inner axle seals they are National Seal #470682. These are the ones with the large "Bells"

Thanks Guys I much appreciate it.

The ones in the post (best I recall) had a very wide seal area over the stock ones, but all I've found just match the Ford OE seals.

The CR seal I mentioned above I did find some info on such as PF width = .350
Bore Dia = 2.620
Seal OD = 2.625
Width = 1.000
type & style = HMS 15
lip code = R (nitrile)

I gave up today though on looking & broke down & got two Ford seals.

the 4:56's in my sig - I'm slow on the install part. I had to farm out help as I cant set up gears in housing worth a hoot & I know my limits so its a couple hours working in the eve every day job - should be wrapped up by Sunday. I do all the removal down to the carrier & let my bud do his magic, good deal for both that way & I do wish I had enough funds for a locker though but the tires seem to hook up pretty good.

But I do get to drive the wifes Bronco for a bit /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif

May head to that Indy drag race,dyno,sled pull thing on the 25 & 26th & she what it'll do or at least what I can tear up.
