Do you have the driveshaft from the donor truck? You can go to a driveline shop and have the driveshaft made - it is really not that expensive to have done. Have the original truck u-joint yoke from the transfer case end put on the donor truck front drifeshaft, or have the donor truck driveshaft yoke from the double cardain joint put on the axle end of the original truck driveshaft.

I have the shaft but didn't get the yoke.I have found several yokes that fit the shaft, but not the square cut spline on the transfercase.I know this swap has been done many times,so there must be a yoke that works.I even used the serial # from my friends 97 f350,but got the same yoke as i have now.:nono:

You are in the same boat as I, I have a 32 sp BW 4407-04 which Ford has discontinued the 1330 CV yoke and its impossible to find one. Funny we actually have a Chevy style on these TC's!!
I am going to have them made up for a 1350 CV flange in the next few weeks and once I am sure they fit correctly I'll have a source for others. PM me and I'll contact you when I get them.

This is on the back burner till spring..too many projects, I gave up and just used the F250 stock DS with a conversion U joint for the 08 D60 yoke for now. The '97 TC has a square spline shaft they call it and its gona have to be made as I spent weeks and can't fine the orginal ones.

I've got the same problem also..... unfortunately I figured it out after I spent the money getting the 350 cardan joint rebuilt and the shaft length changed, all under the premise that the yoke from the donor truck would fit. Will the TC yoke from a 97 F350 work? The guy at the driveline shop spent about a half hour on the phone and came to the conclusion that I was basically screwed unless I had the flange setup like Cary is talking about built.

You can use the front '97 TC yoke with a f250 DS to the D60 if all the U joints match..or get conversion yokes like I had to do at the axle. As long as the truck isn't raised much +-2"it works..not ideal but it can get you by till a flange is found-made.

I did the swap about 1 year ago after reading some posts from caryt. I had a friend help me that ended up doing most of the work as i watched.

Apparently, we never needed a F350 driveshaft or yoke. We just used the stock F250 driveshaft from my truck without any length modifications.

My question is: did my friend take shortcuts on my swap? Is this bad to use the F250 driveshaft as it is? We used HighCountry 3inch lift F350 springs.

Also, is it okay that we used the original pitman arm? my friend said that the drop pitman arm was not needed. hmmm....

The truck seems to drive fine.

Thanks.

I have a shaft and yoke if someone needs a complete set up. Nevada truck so only a little surface rust. It would all come off with steel wool if need.
