Its been some time sense I've had to post something . I guess thats good it means its been running great. The issue that just happen to me this morning is i went to start my Excursion when cycling the key to on (WTS) all my warning light came on but never went off including the WTS . truck would crank and no start. Cycled key several times and tried my other key to. I did at one point turn key and lights went off and truck started , then it would shut down. I could repeat turning key and sometime i could get the lights to go on then off and truck would start ,just to die out. I am going to plug my NGS into truck to try to get codes later. was wondering if anyone else has had this gremlin before and what was done. Thanks FJF

update

I cycled key to on position and the same thing so i left key on and could hear electric solenoids in transmission trying to open (clicking). So i checked battery voltage and they where at 11.6 .So i put charger on them and retried starting truck ,its started normal and I let idol for 15 min. I checked codes and got the 603 and a 605 with key on engine off. cleared codes and ran self test engine running and passed. I rechecked codes with key on engine off and 603 and 605 came back. Restarted truck and was letting idol and now it just shut off I restarted and let run and it shut off within 2 min. Checked continuos memory and got a code 232 fuel pump circuit. truck has now been running for another 15min no issues . Now I'm stumped !PCM?? I know 605 says bad PCM but truck is running normal(and it has a TS chip). I will get Batteries tested they are only 2 years old .alternator is charging 14. Suggestions?? Thanks

another update

Excursion has been running now 30 min. no issues . Drove around neighborhood ran fine. Let idol more in driveway then it just STOPPED. I had my NGS still plugged in so i immediately scanned key on engine off. I never turned ignition off when it died. NGS would not comunicate with PCM. if i cycle the ignition key off the back to start it will communicate. The codes where the 605 and 232 again. Thanks FJF

11.6v typically means a bad cell in a bettery. Get them individually charged and load tested and start checking connections.

Thanks Gator for replying, Had batteries tested one was weak so i replaced both. Unfortunately not the cause of these gremlins. Drove Excursion around everything seemed good shut it off went to restart same issue check engine comes on wait to start comes and they don't go off with a no start. i leave key in run position with no start and check codes with a NGS and there is no communication with truck. Turn key off then back to run and all is back to normal. Ive replaced PCM relay to rule it out. Im thinking of sending pcm to Swamps for testing. I really can't thinks of it being anything else. Any suggestions on a company to get pcm work or replacement. Thanks FJF

just to close out this thread if anyone has been reading it. I never sent PCM out for testing, only because i was in the process of removing it when i thought to first remove my TS chip clear the 605 code and run it again so if any codes showed i could rule out the chip. Its been 6 day and the Excursion has been running flawlessly :smile2:. I find it hard to believe all this is from the chip but i haven't experienced any gremlins sense. I plan on driving it for a couple weeks and if no issues put chip back in. if it happens after chip is installed then bye bye chip and get something new:grin2:. ,
