Just installed a new DB Electrical starter. I have burned up a couple starters over the last couple years so I'm hoping this one will last. I ordered the higher torque, higher RPM model. It's almost twice the size and half the price. $150 delivered to Idaho. I had to do some grinding to the engine mount crossmember to get it to fit in there. Have any of you other guys who have installed a DB had to do anything to get it to fit?? Just wondering.

Compared to the stock starter this thing is a monster. Cranks a lot faster=quicker starts.

Bought one for my dad in April. It's toast already. Waiting on them to respond to my warranty request. They claim a "No Hassle" warranty. Maybe no hassle means not communicating.

I had an alternator replaced by db electical, with absolutely no hassles. I would give them a call with your invoice in hand. They verify your invoice, and usually ship the same day, and also send a return authorization. My experience would be rated as excellent. I have purchased 3 alternators, and a high tork starter form db.

Not to sound stupid, but they require no modifacations? No wiring, no grinding, no new bolts?

I also purchased the high torque model and grinding probably would have helped. Mine was a real tight fit (not to mention the thing weighs a lot). And the Battery cable has to be adjusted because of the 90 degree angle on the end.
