This is more of a public service announcement... But know how to start your truck in the event that the key fob battery dies. On mine with captains chairs, I had to remove several drink and junk holding devices from the left center console to find a fob-shaped hole. Once I rested the fob in that, truck started and my first stop was a Napa for a new CR2450 battery.

The old battery tested fairly good, so apparently it needs to be in tip-top shape. I got the truck in Dec. of 16, so 3.5yrs old??

lol, mines an XL and still has an old school key.

Sometimes the base models have beauty in simplicity. Glad you figured that out and thanks for the heads up to all others. Good work! Maybe just keep an extra battry in the center console.
