DI intercooler installed
Just got done with my DI intercooler install. Also changed out my intercooler boots and tubes as well as the y-pipe boots with the hump hoses from DPP.
Just came back from a quick test drive to make sure there were no MAJOR leaks. Cruising at 70mph, egt's were 600; at 80mph they were 700. Tried to test at 90mph but was really too much traffic; looked like it was gonna settle at about 800.
Before the new intercooler, egt's were about 800 at 80mph and between 850 and 900 at 90mph. Not sure about 70mph 'cause I rarely drive that speed. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
Looks to be a little less boost (unless I've got a small leak) but also a little less smoke. Didn't really notice any power difference but I'll bring it to the track wednesday and find that out for sure.
Keep in mind this is with 37" tires and I have checked for any minor leaks yet.
My initial impression is that this thing is gonna work even better when towing something. I'll post more results after I've driven it more and checked for leaks.
