Does anyone have a drawing or digram of a wvo/svo system for a PSD?

I pretty much have the concept of the system form lurcking around here for the past year....but want to see it on paper.

I have a source for WVO ...so now Im trying to get all the part gathered up to burn this stuff....

Thanks Jason

I don't have a diagram but essentially my 2002 PSD uses a pair of 3-port solenoid valves from Greasecar. Its pretty much like a two tank truck... fuel selector valve immediately prior to the frame-mounted fuel pump. A second 3 port valve added into the fuel return line as it runs along the frame directs the fuel return to the correct tank.

Our trucks pump a lot more fuel than they burn. Therefore, it doesn't really take that much time to push out the WVO in the stock fuel filter when you switch back over to diesel at the end of the day. I switch back over three to five minutes before I park it for the day, longer if I forget until I park and end up idling for the change over.

Beyond the fuel selector valves, its just a matter of heating and filtering the WVO. HOH, HIH, electric, flat plate heat exchangers... they all work well. My feeling is do most of the heating in the tank and use other methods to maintain that heat. It makes a big difference on the filter life.

Mine is the simple down & dirty method requiring the least hardware. The Vegistroke was designed by FN74, a fellow Dieselstop.com member and all around great guy. In essence, his (and others) uses a completely separate fuel system (including 60psi or higher pump and regulator) for the WVO. The separate diesel and WVO fuel lines come together at some point immediately prior to the fuel entering the heads. This results in greatly reduced switchover times (from WVO back to diesel). But, it costs more due to the second pump and it is a bit more complicated to plumb.

Eventually, I will go with a Vegistroke style plumbing arrangement but in the meantime my truck has over 30,000 WVO miles on it and I don't mind the slightly longer switchover times at the end of the day.
