One of the mechanics at the local Ford dealer told me the 6.0 diesel doesn't require additives to the fuel as long as the
fuel is good. (Quality) Is this true?
With the egr valve being pone too cakeing with soot, I think any non alcohol product that reduces soot is probably a good idea, but not neccessity..

i run diesel service in my truck. I think ford actually recomends it in the owners manual. Not the reason i run it though. I think it runs better. Mainly in the winter. If anything is peice of mind "thinking" I am taking better care of my truck...
