I have heard of the diesel loyalty rebate. My question what is required to get it. For example what year diesel does it have to be.

My Wife just traded in her '03 6.0 liter F-250 on an '06. I believe the $2500.00 incentive applies to the original owners of all '03 and '04 6.0 liter Super Duties. Combined with the $2500.00 rebate and the X-Plan, it's a heck of a deal ($11K off MSRP)! We did have to provide proof of original ownership...

Thanks,
The dealer called me and said the same thing. I was hoping to get the rebate to keep me with Ford. I was thinking Fored would try and do what they could to keep me in the Ford family, but it doesn't look that way.

I absolutely HATE when they come out with Owner Loyalty Rebates. I can't win. If it's a loyalty rebate, every customer that doesn't qualify says "If Ford wants me to buy their truck, they should offer the rebate to (insert competitive model name here) owner's"

And if it's a "Conquest" program, all our current Ford owners say "I've been buying Fords for 120 years, they should give it to Ford owners"

and this attitude: [ QUOTE ]

The $2,500 loyalty rebate is for ORIGINAL owners of 03/04 6.0L's because that's the ones that had the most problems.

Will,
If you had your truck in the shop as much as I had my 2005 F250 you would be ticked off also not to have Ford extend the rebate to all 6.0 owners that have had problems. I have owned 11 new Ford trucks and just bought my first Chevy. The rebate would have helped me feel better about buying the same engine that Ford has had so many problems with and would have made the pricing closer to equal. I just could not have seen paying $6,000 more for the Ford, now $3500 maybe I could have.

Ford is buying my 2004SD back and the letter they sent me said that I would not get any rebates currently offered with the exception of any rebate offered if you finance it with ford.

It did say they would give me an extended warranty if I had one on my current truck and it had not expired.

[/ QUOTE ]Are they buying you out?.....or are you just getting a replacement truck? If the former, then you would get whatever incentives are in effect if you decide to buy another Ford. If the latter, rebates shouldn't matter since as long as you pick a replacement that is equipped the same as your original truck there isn't supposed to be any cost to you except for a mileage charge. Also like you say, on a replacement, that are supposed to GIVE you the same ESP on your new truck that you had on the old one.

At least that's how it worked when Ford bought me out of my 04 here in CA.
