Crude oil prices shot up at the end of the week because they claim that diesel demands are up /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Here's my recent history:

5/20/2005 - $2.279 - Santa Nella, CA
5/25/2005 - $2.339 - Albany, OR
6/05/2005 - $2.499 - Lacey, WA

And I thought California was expensive! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif

Just paid $2.53 a gallon for ULSD in Livermore Ca. on Thursday June 2nd.
It was $2.43 a gallon across the street at the Quick Mart and $2.58 a gallon at the Chevron right next to them.

I'm going to give the ULSD a try for a 3 tanks fulls and see how it does.

Funny how the price per barrel of crude goes up and the at the pump price goes up almost instantly even though that barrel of crude is a long way from getting to the pump. To bad the at the pump price doesn't go down as fast as the price per barrel drops. Yep, real funny ha ha.

I think its b/c I have one since diesel is supposed to be cheaper in the summer.

3 wks ago:
Diesel: 1.99
Gas: 2.00

3 Days Ago:
Diesel: 2.08
Gas: 1.99

Now:
Diesel: Around 2.14
Gas: 2.05

Summers gonna be over before it gets cheaper!

Falling supplies and increased demand, according to this story. Link A while back I read that we export diesel to Europe since it sells for more there, and they export gasoline since they have a glut of it. A few of us (percentage wise) drive diesels, but damned near everyone over the pond does, so that's where it goes.

Paid $2.17 at a Flying J in Lodi, Ca. the friday of Memorial Day weekend. That Sunday in Reno, Nv got enough to get me back to the central valley and paid $2.39. Flying J went up to $2.19 on Sunday for the ride home, but passed it up and barely made it to Joe's Travel Plaza in Lathrop, Ca. where it was still $2.17... Never thought I would say $2.17 was "cheap" for fuel. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif

Today we are now paying $2.40 per gallon out here in Virginia and I passed by an Exxon station that was advertising $2.54

Then this news announcement popped up
http://www.signonsandiego.com/news/business/20050607-0712-energy-heatingoil-futures.html

You have got to hand it to the experts when they start talking like this:

unusual/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/depressed.gif
anomaly /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bleh.gif
oil futures $1.61 /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif
shocking /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

It is interesting to note that the price went up .15/cents per gallon in the last 8 dayz of which are 5 business dayz.

Here in central oregon I have payed as much as $2.89/gal when it was at it's highest. It has recently come down to ~$2.50/gal. As far as I am concerned, y'all are just now starting to catch up!

BTW, all the gas-guys are screaming bloody-murder because their prices have gone up from ~$2.05 to ~$2.35 in the last couple of months.
