Diesel Truck NITRO Gear Packages

At Just Differentials we carry gear and axle accessories for nearly every vehicle out there. We work on developing and stocking the hard to find parts, or gear sets, so you can make one call to find everything you need to repair or replace parts in your axles.


Our Gear Packages include everything you need to regear both your front and rear axles with high quality parts. They include Front and Rear:

-Ring & Pinions
-Master Install kits with bearings, shims, seals, etc (MK)
-Solid preload Spacers if available (noted as SK in description)
-Pinion flanges (if noted with YOK)

6 Reasons to Re-Gear your Truck!

1. Oversized tires - the engine is not running at optimum rpm at cruising speeds. This results in a “lugging” condition when pulling a heavy trailer and often the driver needs to resort to downshifting which revs the engine higher than ideal increasing wear and noise levels at highway speeds. Essentially under load the ideal narrow maximum efficiency rpm range simply cannot be found at normal highway speeds.

2. Fuel economy improves - Operating the engine at the correct RPM delivers maximum efficiency and economy.

3. Performance - Easily one of the most overlooked items of diesel performance is correct gearing. Faster revving means a faster truck, especially when pulling a trailer.

4. Lazy O.E. ratios - Many of these trucks are ‘under-geared’ from the factory. Tall ratios in the axles improve unloaded fuel economy numbers for EPA tests and are common from the factory as a result.

5. Drivetrain wear - Transmission temps and loads will be reduced by adding lower gears to the axles. Simply increasing the mechanical advantage in the final drive reduces stress on transmission and driveline. With heavily modified diesel engines the benefits can be seen in increased transmission reliability and longevity.

6. Opportunity to add a traction device.
When re-gearing adding a limited slip differential or locker improves traction and reduces unwanted wheel-spin at the same time. This improves wet and dry performance and makes it much easier to get moving with an unloaded truck when brisk acceleration is required (such as merging).

35" or taller tires have a huge effect on performance, fuel economy and transmission life that is easily corrected by swapping the right gear ratio into the axles.

Oversize tires and performance is now lacking in your diesel truck?
