Were you seeing any boost? Same thing happened on Monday to my '04 X and its a bad turbo. If you have an '06 and its new, there should be no question about the dealer looking at the truck-and making it right.

Take it to the dealer to get it looked at. If there are no codes set and the boost builds to about 25psi they will tell you it is normal and send you on your way.

Mine had the same problem after the recalls where they reflashed the chip. You need to keep it on the floor for awhile until the computer runs it's cycle and senses you want more power than just econo driving. When your salesperson told you that the truck "learns" your driving habits, this is part of it. I was towing in the BC mountains and had to keep it in 4th; everytime I went into overdrive the power and speed fell off. I kept it to the floor, then released it, then next time like magic I had all my power back. The service manager said they don't know how often the computer cycles, but keep the pressure on it. How that helps, it had me scared.

Believe,

It really helps if you add you truck to your sig, and a location. Some problems are altitute / temp related, and if your truck is in the sig with what's on it we don't have to ask:

Do you have adjustable pedals?

Do you have a tuner / chip?

Do you have a dually (which rear)?

Do you have an AM airbox / modified exhaust?

Do you have AM gauges?

How about a lift?

Trim & color are nice so we can Ooooo & Ahhhh.

I'd guess the adjustable pedals if you have em.

loaded run between 2200 RPM ( Max torque ) and 3300 RPM ( Max horsepower. Outside those limits, you have a dog. those numbers are for an 04.

Well first off 15,000 is a lot of weight for a 6.0 /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/vomit.gif When I had mine I pull my JD 4995 around it was right at 22,000lbs and it would do just about 55 to the floor. Get a chip if you want to pull that kind of weight with a 6.0 /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/vomit.gif. OR sell it like I did /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif

I had noticed mine didn't seem to be as spunky as it used to be, and mileage had dropped a couple of mpg. When I took it in for the 60k service, they noticed a hose leading to the intercooler had a split in it. It is like new strong again and the mileage came back up.

So, it could be something simple.

Just get it checked by your dealer. You shouldn't have any problem pulling 15K because that's what I pull all the time and it pulls like a freight train.
