Lookin to buy a 2000 PSD that when the brakes are applied at a stop light the dome light comes on sometimes. Goes off when you let off the brake. Any suggestions out there? Thanks in advance.:thumbsup:

First thing to check is the grounds on the cab or the ones that go to the third brake light and the dome light. You can always run a jumper from the battery ground to the lights just to check it.

I would check the wiring to make sure that they are not frayed and touching behind the cab brake light. Maybe the bulb was replaced and the wires got pinched!

If you notice, the doors are probably unlocking as well. I had this problem and it was a one of the "door open" sensors in located in the lock assembly. Just required a little cleaning and lube. It is a sticky on top of one of the forums.

Try this...

Mine was doing the same thing. Applied the "door ajar" cure - spray all the door latches with WD-40 - and fixed it right up. Hope it works for you.
