Finished up an hour or so ago. Im back from playing in the streets! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif

What a MOD! Its better than anything I ever got out of my Superchip programmer. I got a 40, 80econ, and 100 setting. The 100 makes the truck a crop duster! I love it /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif

The shift points are sweet on the 80 and 100. They are kinda odd to me on the 40 setting though. Oh well, Im sure once I hook my trailer up Ill realise why they are the way they are on 40.

Just put his chip in myself and was extatic the first time I took my truck for a ride after wards. Very nice!!!

u guys will love that chip, especially when it comes time to roast those little rice burners that think they can take these 8000lb trucks!!!! I love putting people in awe with the soot that exits my exhaust when i romp on it

Is the DP Tuner actually a download or is it a plug in chip for the computer? How does it make the transmission shift better than other tuners?

It's a plug in chip and takes about 30 minutes to 45 minutes to install, just make sure to clean up the pin connectors with acetone real real good, that's the hardest part, ha. I think the chip commands the tranny servoes or whatever to shift like it does. Let me tell you, it was a night and day difference in the shifting performance of my tranny after the install of the DP chip, tranny just acted like it was bran new, ha.

I have a 50 80 100 chip from Jody and I don't really use the 50 unless I'm towing. I have tested all of the setting with my normal driving and I get the best mileage in the 100 setting(depending on how much fun I'm having). I got mine set up for towing and the 50 setting lets me have better control over shifting. I tow a lot in the 100 setting too but it can be hard to get it to shift and get the tc to lock up when merging onto freeways and stuff. It wants to run the rpms higher before shifting (not enough throttle pressureto lock the tc at low speed I think). That isn't a problem at all in the 50 and 80. Anyway that's my 2cents, I love it! You've got a lot of fun ahead of you.
