Hello everyone, I was curious if anyone has any knowledge about doing a DPF delete while keeping all the other emissions stuff on the truck? From looking at the DPF I don’t see why you couldn’t just remove it and leave everything else stock without a tune. If the truck doesn’t sense increased back pressure because the DPF is gone then it theoretically should never do a regeneration. I have a banks tuner and don’t want to deal with stacking it with another tune to delete the EGR and DPF codes. I want to leave the EGR system as is.

Lol you likely wouldn't make it one mile before the truck realized the dpf was gone. Ever heard of a NOX sensor?

Unfortunately the monitoring is not that simple, take a look at the section on Catalyst & After treatment monitors in the attached article for some insight into how the programming functions.
