I may have royally messed up. I bought a DTF delete pipe from CL. Bolt on for my 2008 f350 6.4. It did not come with a programmer and was told I didnt need one. I had a muffler shop bolt it on. Guy I bought it from said just to unplug the sensors and roll up the wires. After they bolted it on and backed it out of the shop I went to pick it up and it wont start, turn the key and nothing happens. Having them bolt the original equip back on and plug the sensors back up... will it start after this or am I going to have to take it to a ford dealer ? Help ????

I'm not suprised that it wouldnt start. It may not re-start even after you re-install the OEM parts as the sensors will be in a the "off" position which is probably a major issue. I wonder what would happen if you put the sensor mounts on the dpf replacement pipe. Would it fire then? Good luck and let us know how it works out for you.

Put the orginal DPF and sensors back in.

Remove the battery cables for a few, reconnect and hope and pray.

Take DPF delete pipe and store it away till you do some research and know what it entails to remove the emissions stuff.

More than likely you will need a tow.

ok, had the shop put back on the stock equipment, unhook the battery..... nothing. Talked with a diesel shop and the ford dealership.......and a towing company. The computer will have to be flashed by the Ford Dealership. What an exspensive lesson I have learned,,,,,,My Daddy always said I was one of those that had to learn things the hard and exspensive way. I think I will just deal with the 9mpg from here on out. Thanks for your help today.....

yeah, best to get it back up and running and lets see what or how things go...then if you want to do something consider a dpf on tune..

It happens.

The guy obviously didn't do an accurate amount of research before pulling the trigger, but that's kind of harsh--yet I did LOL.

All kidding aside, emissions products on any emissions-equipped diesel truck shouldn't be messed with. You won't pass inspection and when it does break down, you won't have the manufacturer's backing.
