Hey guys,

I couldn't find many good resources online so I figured I'd try here since this forum seems knowledgeable and responsive...

I have a 1993 international 4700 with a 5.9L DTA360HT engine that refuses to start. I think it needs a new starter but before I spend the $250+ I'd like other opinions.

The unit power up fine, batteries are charged, connections seem good.
When you hit the button to start it, nothing happens... nothing. No cranking, no sound whatsoever.
Troubleshooting: Power is running to the starter, so that isn't the issue. I tried connecting the starter solenoid output directly to the positive battery terminal(s) with jumper cables, and still nothing happened.

Hopefully this is an easy problem for someone with more experience then I have. Thanks

If you're jumping across the terminals of the starter with known power, it's going to be the starter as you suspected. There's not much discussion on starters for these trucks mainly because they last so long. I'd bet that's the factory original you have in there now.
