Hey all. I'm getting ready to put some Dynamat in my truck in the not so distant future. I'm planning to do the doors, floor, roof, and sides. I was just wondering if anyone else had done this, along with what you did and how much of a difference it made.

Thanks

I put some in the corners behind the rear speakers. It took care of some vibes in the sheetmetal I was getting when I had it crank'in. If you do all your saying, I bet you see a big diff.

I'd love to do that, but no time or money. Let us know how it goes. I know others here have used adhesive roofing felt to get a similar result, but I'm sure the Dynamat is much better. I just woudln't want to go to all that work and cheap out on the material.

I used B-Quiet Ultimate... http://www.b-quiet.com/compare.html ... It is less than 1/2 the price of Dynamat. I gutted the interior of my truck (except the dash) and installed it on every surface - roof, door posts, doors, interior walls and floor. I then used a 3/8" foil faced felt and spray glued it to the top side of the headliner and over the B-Quiet on the floor. Bought 3 - 50sf rolls and had some left over. It made a huge difference in both sound and in heating and cooling. Time and money well spent!

The other thing that you can do is just go down to the HmeDept and buy some carpet padding. You can get it in a roll that is 6 x 10 or something. Anyway after you remove all of your seats and the existing carpet flooring just lay the new carpet pad on the bare metal and cut some holes for the tie down bolts. Needless to say this option works out very well. It will cut the in cab knoise greatly.

2001Platinum, that's almost exactly what I plan to do. Pull everything out, cover it in sound- deadening material, then put everything back in.

I had planned to use the Dynomat because I know their stuff is high quality, and I didnt want to go through all the wrk of tearing out my interior to put some low- end sound deadener back in. I've never heard of B-Quiet before though. I'll look into it and see what I can find.
