both powerstrokes are 96
Whats some of the differences in an E-series motor compared to an F-series motor? What would need to be changed to put an e-series motor in a truck?
my motor is tired and I can get an E-series motor with 80,000 miles for $500
motor mounts....

The basic engine is the same. I don't know about mounts n such. I think the van turbos did not have the ebpv, the thing that goes wooosh when its cold, but unless you wanna make it a brake, most of us myself included gut em, far as I'm concerned an ebpv delete is a plus, as it eliminates the potential leak. Other than that, holy crap!! If I needed an engine.....glad I don't, but that is a steal. The injector cores are probably worth every penny of that. In short though, if you are doin a swap anyway and its going in your truck, any parts you would need, mounts, etc, will swap from your engine to it, I say buy away, what a steal.

Im on board with what deere said. The injector cores are worth 1K alone. Anything that you could possibly need you already got to swap if it wouldnt fit. 80K is a baby motor! Mine has 302k with life still in the distance.

Passenger side manifold is different , Rocker covers are different , Intake is different. Should bolt in no problem. You will have to remove Turbo / filterbowl assembly to remove the engine from the van . It slides out like a drawer.
