Bought this truck last fall from a guy. It is a 91 F250 with a 7.3. Just got done redoing the heads due to a bad valve. Also replaced injectors, rockers, and head bolts. So i have alot of $$$$ in her and now have another problem. Truck had 35X12.50 17 tires on it. Replaced them with 265 75 16 tires that are stock height. The problem i was having was the torque converter kept locking and unlocking all the time at highway speeds. I thought going back to stock tires would cure the problem..not so much. Still does the same when crusing at 65 the tc locked up is 1900 then it unlocks and goes up to 2100 and it keeps hunting where it wants to be. Does the same thing in 3rd too. So what do I do now... All the brake lights work, fluid level is good, truck shifts good and the od light does not flash. Hopefully, I can fix this without killing my pocketbook more. so what do all you experts think:thumbsup:
