Who's using their EBPV as an exhaust brake? It probably doesn't work as well as an actual exhaust brake, but does it do OK? I already have a TC lockup switch with LED's. Does it work well enough to help the braking on long decents?

Yes it works quite welll...I am sure there will be a few of our customers who come along and share their experiences but even the home grown ones work to slow you down just the same.

Mine has been back for updates and you can tell by this post it's great product. I use it all the time when I tow. It slows you down until about 30-35 mph. Down hills it really helps to hold the speed. My wife sometimes drives and she doesn't like when it's off. She always can tell when it's on or off. She feels very comfortable going down hills with it on.

yes it works very well. Took a little while for me to get all the connections nice and tight but it works like a charm now. It is deff worth the money.

I'd have to say that I don't see how "an actual exhaust brake" could work any better than the EBPV type brake I've been using for almost 6 years actually works. Course mine is on a manual shifting truck and maybe they work better on manuals than automatics??? I do remember before getting mine, driving in someone's automatic truck with the brake and it didn't slow it down as much as mine does on the manual. I do think these things (the EBPV type and not the actual exhaust brake type) are well worth having on your truck though.
