I recently had to remove my EBPS tube. It was completely plugged and broken in the middle. When I tried to loosen it with the claw foot, it wanted to twist the holder that is attached to the front of the HPOP reservoir. I didn't want to damage the bracket.
I used two open end wrenches, 9/16 and 5/8. By jockeying them around just so around the fan, I got them where all I had to do was squeeze them together. The bracket provided enough support that the nut I wanted was the one that loosened and it was easy after that. I put them back by just reversing the process. I was much easier than trying to get the crow foot to work.
