I cannot get my insight to display the transmission temperature. I would assume that I should be able to read the temperature since I have a temperature gauge in the dash. The insight is plugged in to the OBDII port so I would assume that I should be able to read any sensor that is on the truck.

Do any of you have the insight? Does it read the transmission temperature?

I appreciate any help anyone can give.

Nope, no trans. temp.
no oil pressure or voltage.

I was a little dissapointed with the product
as they advertise many things, but it is limited
to what information it can acess.
But , satisfied with what it does do, and Egt. is a must.

Voltage works but not the other two. You have to select something like "Unit Voltage" or something weird like that but it works.

Yes it will just give them a call. They have been having some problems with their programming and that is one of the things that was deleted. I went thru this last week they will have you flash it to the dashdaq which is to me better because you get more options and you will have all the readings you want. They will walk you thru it and explain what to do to get all your readings. They was suppose to have this problem resolved but if you have updated yours and it still isn't working then it sounds like they are still trying to figure it out. Just tell them you want the dashdaq programming.

Mine is set to display coolant temp, trans temp, EGT, and IAT2 and they display fine. I have also looked at IAT1 and Engine oil temp as well.

I also just bought an Insight and was disappointed when I found the trans temp wouldn't work. Other than that I have been extremely happy with it. IMO it is the perfect alternative to a set of gauges.....a cleaner more finished look. But, if there is a way to get the trans temp to work, it would just make it that much better!

I e-mailed edge. I also called and left a message. I am waiting for them to contact me. As soon as they do, I will tell everyone what they told me.

I received mine on fri. and the trans temp. also didn't work. I installed the Fusion software on my laptop and called edge at 1-666-360-3343. I spoke to a tech about the problem. He knew right away wwhat the problem was. The tech sent a new program to my Fusion acount and within 5 minutes everything worked great. He also walked me through all the screens on the insight. I love mine and it is very acccurate.

Thats funny. When I called them the tech told me there really was no sense in worrying about connecting the Insight to my laptop as they did not push updates for the Insight and there was no value added in using the dashboard function.

I would call them back. The fusion program came on a disk with mine. When you talk to the tech. he will log onto your fusion account and send the new program directly to it. He stayed on the phone with me the whole time. It really only took 5 minutes.

The biggest problem with their tech support is the hours they work. I work during those hours too. Weekends and nights are my only time to get this stuff fixed. Love the Insight, hate the tech support.

I finally spoke with Edge. They told me that all I needed to do was connect my Inisght to the computer, launch the Fusion software and my Insight would be updated. I did it and now it displays the transmission temperature.

I installed my Edge last weekend on a 6.0 with 6sp. Since I don't need trans temp (assume it's not avail anyway), I was looking for the fuel mileage displays and couldn't find them. Has anyone else seem them on a 6.0?

I had the same problem today. I called tech support and was impressed how the problem was resolved. The tech even walked me through a problem I was having with my laptop. Satisfied Edge customer.

New Insight installed two issues

I installed my new Insight this weekend and I don't get any EGT or tranny temp. Both say N/A.
I will call help in the morning and see if they can help out.
I already downloaded the Fusion and updated the firmware from the website.
Running Erics street tune without egt reference is a bit scary.
Anyone seen the no egt before??

I called Edge after trying to get help via email. Bottom line, I have to send my Insight back to Edge because it will not communicate with my PC. I must say I was a little dissapointed with the customer service.

For EGT, you have to pick the top level EGT parameter. The one listed under Ford is for the 6.4L factory sensors. For trans temp, pick the value under Ford.

Unfortunately there is no value listed under Ford for trans temp on mine. After I bought it from you guys I tried to hook it up to the laptop but it never worked. I contacted Edge as I stated above and got no help from them the first time. The second time they said to send the device back to Edge because it sounds like it is defective.
