I recently installed the Edge Attitide w/Juice along with a Banks exhaust in my 01 F-350. Occasionally when I back off the throttle or am idling the truck will take a few seconds to respond when I get back on the gas.
I took the Edge off and sent it back for testing and they sent it back saying that nothing was wrong. After reinstalling it, I'm having the same problems again.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Now Edge says nothing is wrong with their product, it must be my truck, BUT they will replace the unit with a new one if I send it back again. What a PITA.

Don't know what happened to your Edge J/A, mine is the best engine mod I've had on my truck. Works great and never had an issue with it.

I have the edge juice with attitude on my 02. The problem I have is the screen freezing up at certain points and then will unlock and freeze back up. I am almost certain this is a heat sensitive problem. The juice module is mounted under the hood and it get pretty hot under there. The only time I have a problem with it locking up is after sitting idleing for a long period, or when in stop and go traffic on a 90 degree day. I may try and remount the juice module inside the cab of the truck, I don't know if the wires are long enough though?

Could be heat related. But it does not get as hot as you may think. Up by the air box were the Juice sets it only gets to a max of 125. That's parking a hot truck on a 90 degree day and waiting 20 min. While driving it's only about 10 degrees hotter than outside temp.

Heat related on not I would not move it-just send it back to Edge.

Have the same problem. Every time I work the engine hard and get it real hot (towing, sometimes extended idle) it freezes up. I happen to live in Utah. Took it to the Edge factory. First they replaced the Attitude monitor. Same problem. Then replace the actual chip. Same problem. If you come up with an answer let me know. I am thinking of changeing the EGT probe to see if that makes any difference (only part left to change).

Mine had the same problem. I got a complete new system and changed out everything, including the thermocouple. It made no difference and the new one at times will continue to freeze up. Mine though will also give sparatic engine rpms and sometimes the boost won't read. Its an ok product, just seems kinda buggy. I'd be hesitant to get one again due to the problems, high cost, and low hp gains from it.

The grass isn't always greener...I had 2 different Predators and had custom programs installed and it just wouldn't work / communicate with my truck. Ran fine till it hit 2000-2200 rpm then fell on its face...just like someone turned the key off.

I contacted Edge about this problem via email, they asked if I had a Nextel phone because they have been known for causing all kinds of problems with the display. I do not have a Nextel although my wife does and Edge seems to freeze when she is in the truck with her phone, more often than when she isn't. They said if not that then it could just be a GLITCH. I emailed then back and said after spending 600 dollars you don't expect to have these type of glitches. Maybe the Nextel phone are the problem, possible you could be setting beside someone at an intersection and they have a Nextel?? I don't know just thought I would share this info. This freezing up really aggrevates me, almost to the point of trashing Edge!

They may be on to something???? I know that my old Nextel phone interfered with all sorts of other electronics like radio's, other phones, clock radio, speaker phone of other phones, TV sound, CB and on and on. I could hear the nextel interference a few seconds before I had a ring tone. New Phone does not do any of this.

Imagine the Dodge next to you at a light calling out on his Nextel to get the upper hand. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

I think I would be a little more upset that Nextel couldn't get their equipment right. Maybe you are blaming the wrong company. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif My Sprint and daughters Verizon don't interfere with my Edge J/A.

skydivr,

Just a suggestion, but I had a similar problem and thought it was related to my edge evolution. It actually turned out to be a flaky idle validation switch on my go pedal assembly. I could hit the go pedal and nothing would happen, then a few seconds later the truck would take off like normal. It didn't happen all the time, just once in awhile. I pulled the assembly, cleaned all the contacts and it worked fine afterwards. Haven't had a problem since.
