I am going to do the EGR delete to my 06 and was wondering what was the better one and where to buy. I know that alot of you guys have done this and learned and just wanted your thoughts

I bought the RCD (River City Diesel) kit off Ebay for $250. Very happy with it. Installed it myself and it took me 12-14 hours. They call for 6-8 hours, but I took my time to keep area clean, no spills and to keep stuff organized. The biggest pain for me was getting the turbo out as I couldn't see the rear mounting bolt. That was my first time doing any kind of serious wrenching on a powerstroke. I'm sure I could do the next one in 6-8 hours. Another popular kit is the Sinister kit.

I did the RCD egr delete also. The kit is really nice. Fit like a glove. The hardest part for me was replacing the up-pipe. It was a real pain to get the wrenches in the right place. The only other observation is the block off plate where the egr valve goes. It would've been nice if they gave you two new bolts, as my stock bolts were a little short due to the thickness of the new plate. I had to get two new bolts because the old ones only had a thread or two going into the intake manifold and I stripped one out before I realized they were too short.

Save some money. Weld up the egr cooler.
