I just did the upgrade to disc brakes and I love them. I just did a little shopping online, and I am having a tough time finding pads to fit the 76-78 eldorado rear calipers. Napa didn't seem to carry any. Is there a different application that I should check or a pn someone knows? I just get nervous only spending $15 on brake pads...

Those all look like they are for the front. Are the applications the same? I would doubt that they would be.

The ones at the very bottom of the JC link list both front and rear but they are the same unit number. I don't know what to think of that! I am very surprised that Napa doesn't have any. Sorry I am not much help. I do have a question for you though. What did the calipers run you? I am starting to gather parts to do rear disc conversion but those calipers are a bit more than I care to spend unless you found some good deals on them.

Ran into the same thing. You can still get pads, but having a hard time finding upgraded pads.

I think if you were to call someone like TSM and tell them you have caddy calipers they may offer a higher quality pad. Mine will wear out long before the front ones.

You need Eldorado front pads. They are also the same as mid 80's 1/2 ton chevy truck pads.

Autozone had some that looked better than most that I have seen. Thanks for the help, though.

Do you know exactly what year pads of Chevy trucks work?

If it's the front of a eldo/chevy truck the base part number will be a 52.It shouldn't be a problem finding those in any grade you want.Prob the most common brake pad ever made
