Okay, I'm having bad luck searching for old messages today...

A week or so ago I mentioned either here or at OB.NET that I wanted to design and install some sort of electrical junction box on my truck so that I could run extra gauges and other electrical accessories into a common location complete with a fuse for each electrical accessory.

These items would all be switched.

Off the top of my head, I can think of my CB radio, my trans temp gauge, and possibly some other gauges that would need to be connected in this manner. There are other accessories on the truck that connect into the electrical system in a questionable manner... I want to find out what those are and reroute them as well.

Basically trying to simplify things so that all the accessories on this truck are fused and all power wires originate from the same location.

Can anyone speculate on how/where I should connect the + and - wires for such a box, what parts to use for holding wires, what parts to use for holding fuses in the box, etc.?

Thank you... looks like their electrical fuse boxes would be a good match, with fuses chosen to match the needs of my accessories. Looks like those are really marketed as replacements to the stock fuse box... not sure I want to change the stock stuff on my truck... but would probably be able to add this under the hood in a weatherproof box, for accessories only.

you won't have to worry about the negatice wiring, as you just run them to the nearest ground.
the painless kit should work great as a secondary fuse/junction box.
