2005 F350 CC auto

Sometimes my e brake pedal slips to the floor when I apply it......only sometimes ! When it slips the brake is not applied (pedal on floor, truck will roll).

The e-brake works perfectly most of the time, I took it to Ford, who couldn't reproduce the problem, so they tightened up the rear brakes for me, big help !

I can see the mechanism slip in the pedal assembly, is it fixable or should I plan on replacement ?

It's not an emergency brake by any streatch of the imagination.

It's a "I think I can" parking brake.

Plan on a replacement pedal assembly.

Thanks for the reply, I will speak to the service rep on the phone next week and request replacement......
