I have a 01 F-350 that the emergency flashers havent worked in over a year. I use the truck for lawn mowing crew...so at the time when they worked they were used everytime the truck stopped to mow a lawn they would put the emergency flashers on (instead of putting out cones) so after a while they just quit. I checked the bulbs on the lights they are fine and still working. I then checked the flasher fuse (large black relay) And it was fine...not only fine but I bought 2 of them and none of them made a difference. Is there a way to check the switch on the column? Can I replace the switch on the column without any special tools? Any ideas of what it could be?

worse case scenario, you can go to like a pep boys and buy a little flasher relay and tie it into your brake lights, and run it off a seperate switch. theyre really cheap, flasher and switch and wire is less than 10 bucks...

I have turn signals and all lights work. The only thing not working on the truck is the flashers. So should I take her into ford to get the switch done or is that something that I could takle without special tools?

Do you have turn signals. If you do then the fuse is good and the flasher is working, It is blue. If you dont have turn signals then I would suggest trying fuse 1 in cab or changing the flasher.
