I haven't been on in a while since I sold my 2000 7.3. But I am back and considering buying a 2017 with 32000 miles. My question is; this truck has 1600 hours on the meter and I wonder if this is a lot for this amount of miles?

20 MPH average. Some would say that's a high time truck showing lots of city driving, low average driving speeds, or lots of idle time. If it's a Ford dealer ask them to give you the OASIS report. It should be able to show any/all work that has been done thru Ford dealerships.

According to Ford's guidelines 1600 hours represents 40,000 miles. That might account for a lot of city driving or a little excessive idling but overall those numbers are not horrendous. There is a display that should show idle hours. If you are looking to buy it I wouldn't sweat it to be honest. I see far worse numbers than that with no issues.

I track my fuel mileage, AVG speed, ENG hours etc on a spreadsheet.
My average speed is 37.8mph and the hours on my truck are at 273 hours.
I just turned over 10,000 miles.
I do almost all highway driving/towing.
8700 of my 10,000 miles are hooked up to a trailer.
For what its worth.
