I'm lookin to buy an engine oil dipstick tube for my 2000 7.3 powerstroke. I kinda twanked mine while changin injectors. I can still use the one I have but it's kinda hard to get the dipstick back in once I pull it out. I'm in Jackson Michigan and the only place I can find one is the dealer and they want $60 (I thought that was high). I'll go there if I haveta but I was just wonderin if there's someplace out there that sells used or aftermarket parts like that.

Tousley Ford is a site sponsor and will have a much better price on everything than your local dealer.

Use great care replacing the dipstick. If you drop parts into the pan, you will probably have to pull the engine. Make double sure you have a clamp or something on them so they cannot fall.

You don't have to pull the oil pan flange part to change the tube...

Mighty Mouse,

You might want to try Varsity Ford in Ann Arbor, they have decent prices and I use them over Seymour Ford, unless I'm in a bind. Tousley Ford is a good choice if you can wait for it to be shipped. There is a Ford dealer in, I believe its Minnesota, that has great prices also. I have the name in my bookmarked sites on my home computer, but can't access it (it got a virus). They have a online parts search, so you should be able to google it.

Oh, BTW, I live in Jackson also.
