good day all,

so got the other engine in with everything around and as expected NO START. i did cycle the key a couple time to prime the low pressure fuel system and I can't get fuel pressure on my gauge connected to the fuel cooler on top beside the turbo. any trick????

during buzz test, is show injector 8 & 7..... so i'm guessing some connection problem????

there is other code :

ICP to low - engine cranking
OBD system readness test not complete

any help would be appreciated thanks

Sorry can't help much other than disregard the OBD readiness test. That just means the PCM hasn't seen enough "cycles" to test all the emissions stuff and it won't pass a smog test that includes scanning for any codes.

When I fix any vehicle that had a CEL and I clear it, I get that.

thanks, I do not have any smog test or inspection to get done on that truck so i'll just focus on the rest.

From my research I need to bleed the fuel system again.

now have to find the issue with injector 7 & 8 failing buzz test.

Didn't get the time to play with the truck yet but is the buzz test on the 6.4 can tell if a injector is bad or it is only the connection to the injector like the 7.3???

do you have fuel pressure at the cooler yet?
no,

first I bleed the system like the shop manual said, turn the key 6 time to ON position during 30 sec each time (until the pump stop) and bleed from the cooler with this tools in the picture.

after i bleed it again with the banjo bolt adapter with a hose and funnel on the rear bolt of the cooler.

Yesterday, I unhook the supply line from the tank and install a hose so the pump suck the fuel from another source (fresh fuel can). the pump didn't prime by itself so i used a priming hand pump to push the fuel to the pump. after pushing about 2 gal, still no pressure on top of the cooler.

yes, the HP pump is under the turbo and came with the other engine. I still have another HP pump off the old engine but i'm wondering if its not just the fuel rail pressure sensor or really my HPFP....

Can someone confirm the PSI needed on the high pressure fuel side to get the injector fired? also if I unplug the fuel rail pressure sensor, does the PCM will default to XXXX PSI to tried to get the injector fired?

ok tried to bleed it again today by using the banjo bolt with a hose going into a 5 gal jerrycan. fill up the 5 gal twice and still has some small bubble coming once and a while. tried to start it and still nothing.... crank but not start. this is the 4th time i recharge the battery.

is the injectors 7 and 8 failing BUZZ test can be the cause of the no start?

I checked fuse 72 - good (turbo actuator rod is moving when turn the key to ON position)
try to press the fuel shut off switch in the passenger side (also try to hold it when starting)
checked the HPFP connector behind the GP's module

what would you guys look for...... ANY IDEA IS WELCOME
