Hey Guys, we still have a problem with our 7.3 just turning off for no reason. We changed the CPS thanks to some help from you readers, and that helped us out. Ran great for a few days, but it's at it again!! The CPS was International Brand and came from The Power Stroke Shop and went in great. It seems that high humidity or rain may have an effect. Any help is greatly appreciated.

If the problem only occurs when it's raining, maybe it's the CPS connector. Maybe some dielectric grease would help. Can't hurt to try.

Hi Wilcoxt,

I've been living with an X that stalls in the rain, then starts back up instantly. Sometime once a day (in the rain) sometimes 3 times. I've cleaned and treated quite a few connections with no results. Let me know if you find a solution. My dealers mechanic is supposed to be hot stuff but has been no help. The real drag is Im at 96k and I am not expecting to get treated right after the 100k is up. Call me paranoid but it's not paranoia if they really are out to get you. Other than that, this has been the best vehicle I've ever owned.

Later,

Jeff

I had the same problem a couple of months ago, I bought the Auto Enginuity diagnostic software and found out I had a bad ebps. I changed the sensor and the tube that runs to the manifold and I haven't had a problem since. I hope this helps.
