I'm getting the wrench after about 20 minutes of driving and code for EOT ECT delta. When I checked the engine after sitting for 24hours without running my ECT was 96 but the EOT was 49. Will a oil temp sensor fail in a non linear manner? In other words start way below actual temp the climb to above actual temp?

What was the ambient temp outside after your 24hr cold soak?

After a cold soak, both sensors should be the same and pretty close to ambient.
