Last Saturday, when I started up my truck to leave for our family vacation, it idled a little lower than normal, and was surging up and down. After driving for a while it went back to normal. This morning, when I left for work, it was doing the same thing, but was accompanied by a soft throttle - had to press way down before it would pick up revs, then it took off (normal power once it got going). By the time I got to work (10 miles) everything was back to normal. Anyone else ever experience this? Any ideas what the problem is?

I had a similar problem, are if running Diesel Injector cleaner in your gas tank? If not try it, it should clear that problem up hopefully.

Update - It seems to be tied to the ICP sensor or wire. It was only responding to throttle input on chips highest setting, and i removed and reconnected the ICP plug - now it seems fine. Any thoughts? Bad Connecter?

I have had that problem. I just fixed mine today. It tured out to be bad injectors in my case. I put stage 1 injectors in and it runs like a chmp!
