Any personal experiences from people that have gutted the exhaust back pressure valve ?
It is causing a trouble code and that is a good enough excuse to do another mod but I am curious for feedback from people that have done it.
Where would I get a 20mm freeze plug?
do you just leave the wires unplugged? will this cause it to still put out a trouble code after gutting?
If you just unplugged it would its natural state be open or closed?

if you unplug it you can just leave the wires unplugged...will not cause a code. if its unplugged it should stay open unless its sticking closed. if you gut it though you may want to remove the actuator arm and plug that hole. some people have had trouble with it leaking after awhile. that or just tie it up somehow so its not laying down on an angle. you should be able to get the freeze plug from any hardware store, if not a 3/8" carriage bolt will work well too.

you should gut it. wont harm anything and will help a little with temps and exaust restriction. you can also thread the hole and use a 1/4 inch pipe plug.

absolutely. with the help of Rick H. (Rick96f250) and the Modded Turbo Pedistol. no worrys about that actuator ever leaking. and Im pretty sure rick has one ready to ship. rick does some fine welding and the modded pedistol makes the turbo removal and install a little easier too.

Well something is leaking in that area. When I have trouble starting I see white smoke from that neighborhood.

check your V clamp on the down pipe and exaust housing to the collecter. mine had an exaust leak between the collecter and exaust housing on the turbo. the white smoke is from an exuaust leak. the Modded Turbo Pedistol is for preventing or fixing an oil leak. why are you having trouble starting?
