Hi Guys I've got a problem with my 94 F350 4x4 Crew Cab 7.3 IDI factory turbo, 240k miles, new auto tranny, 35" BFG MTs. The truck seems to have lost power when pulling a camp trailer. I took it into a shop and they found an exhaust leak at the cast y-pipe to the cast pipe leading to the turbo. They said it is a pressed fit with no gasket and the parts just seem to be worn out and replacement parts will be about $500ish.
Is there any easy fix for this? Hi temp RTV, or header wrap on the male part, then push them together??

I don't have any gauges. I did turn the timing up a little by hand several years ago which helped the power above 2k a bunch. I have run straight WVO several years ago. Don't know if any of this helps...

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It seems like it would be cheaper to get flanges welded on than that!

I searched through the forum and found a suggestion to use RTV on the slip joint, so I think that is the way we are going to go on it and just let it setup for a day or so before starting. They guy at the shop said that it might ruin the piece going to the turbo if it doesn't work, but think's it's worth a try.
I'll let you guys know how it turned out.

The shop called and said the patch worked well. Now hopefully it will hold up over time. They took some pics, I'll get copies and post them.
