i have a 97 crew cab long bed 5 speed 4x4. im looking for an exhaust system. ive heard diamond eye is good and to stay away from the mbrp system.

Ive installed both , MBRP does not work with a 5 speed.

Happy with my stainless duals from Diamond Eye. I purchased them through Dale at Tymar.

No problems with my AFE system on the pickup in my signature. Fitment was good and it is holding up well. No salt in my neighborhood though....

i went to a truck accessories shop and they installed a 3 inch downpipe, then bent the rest themselves. just straight pipe 4 inch. coming out the stock location for 380 bucks. the only problem is it is not stainless. may want to look into some local shops. just an idea....

I would go with tymar or diamond eye but check out a 4040 aero turbine muffler. It will improve fuel economy and lower egts.

Why doesnt the MBRP work with a 5 speed? I have a MBRP system waiting to be installed.

does going 5 inch have any advantage over the 4inch with just minor mods like a chip and intake. i have found a few places were the 5 inch is only like 30 bux more.
