dieselsite.com sells them. Has anyone used one, using one or know if they are the Ford HD4R100? Is it junk? I have $4500 total budget and it's the most realistic I can find. Local Ford dealer wants $4400 and change for the HD4R100.

Thanks

I would contact [email protected]

He has a stage 1 Sam wyse for a little over 3k.

The stage 1 is built to hold 450hp.

Sam is very busy so it might take a week or two to get your trans built, But bts and jw also take like a month

And 4400 for the ford HD seems ridiculous. I'm pretty sure the site sponsor can get it for atleast 1k cheaper.

Thanks Blue. I've talked to Cory. With my future planned upgrades(injectors, ball bearing turbo), I'll be over that power limit for a stage 1. My budget is $4500. His stage 2 is what I'd love to do, but by the time I by a new cooler and other parts, plus shipping my trans to him and shipping for the new one, I'll be out of funds. Unfortunately, budget rules for me right now. :frown2:

Ok bummer.

Well I can tell you the ford HD won't last long over 375hp and I do not think diesel site is built to hold much over that.

Maybe they will chime in.

Maybe bts or jw would be closer to you? John wood is in Southern California and bts is somewhere in the south I think.

Bone stock truck is about 210-220 at the wheels.

Tuned with all the normal mods is 310-330 at the wheels.

Looking at the build list on the legendary 4r100 id say it can handle 400hp just fine.

He will be in excess of 450hp is why it's not enough lol.

Doesn't take a whole lot of mods to be over 450 but it costs a lot of money lol.

Ended up ordering a BD Diesel Trans. Of all placees, partsgeek.com had them for $3225 free shipping and no core. I got the proper part number from BD and verified with partsGeek that it was the right one. That left me room in my budget for a billet torque converter and input shaft, new cooler and fluids. I've read plenty of rave reviews. 3 year, 150k mile warranty. They had it in stock too. So thanks for the input, budget was king in this pursuit.
