Anyone else experience this problem. The exterior temp. display on my automatic climate control displays erratic temperatures. When moving along at 35 - 50 mph the temp would be accurate, let's say 70 degrees as I start to slow down the ext. temp display would start to slowly drop down to 50 degrees, outside temp is still 70. After shutting off the engine and coming back to the vehicle 2+ hours later the ext. temp display would indicate 34 degress, outside temp is still 70. Dealer has changed out head unit and outside temp sensor and it's still not reading properly. Somebody HELP ME ! ! ! ! The problem is with the 05 F350.

Maybe ther is a splice somwhere in the 2 wires that run to the thermometer and they are touching each other or something else. that would cause wrong readings. Just taking a wild guess. Good Luck

I would check the sensor and trace as far back as you can, there may be a chaffed area or something. The sensor is behind the grill on the drivers side.

I had the same problem... I just never fixed it... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

There were times when it was well over 100° and the overhead would read 79° or something stupid like that... it usually would fix itself in a few minutes sometimes longer... it just wasn't a big enough of an annoyance for me to want to fix it. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
