Hello, I am thinking about trading in my '05 Harley F250 for an excursion. I love my factory trailer brake controller. Does anyone know if it can be installed in an Excursion? Thanks.

It won't work correctly. The brake controller needs to interface with the truck's computer. The Excursion computer can't talk to it.

It's my understanding that the factory brake controller is very similar to the aftermarket BrakeSmart. Never used either of them though.

I know it is not as slick as the factory controller, but I installed a Tekonsha Prodigy in my X and it works flawlessly.
