My 04's trailer plug just stopped working for no reason. I have no power on any of the circuits when checked with a test light. I also unplugged my harness by the spare tire and checked all of those pins and still nothing. All the fuses are good under my dash too. What else could be wrong? The trailer i usually tow works great on other vehicles as well as teh trailer I borrowed from work last time. Any one have a similar problem or a solution?

I believe there are fuses to the plug in the engine fuse box also.

No engine compartment fuse box in any superduty past '01 models.

Turn signals are powered by Fuse 2.6(20A) thru L&R turn relays in Aux fuse box #5. The control voltage for the relays comes from the multi-function (turn signal) switch. The flasher relay is powered by fuse 2.27(15A) and the brake pedal position switch is powered by fuse 2.18(20A)

Trailer running lamps are powered by fuse 2.38(20A) and the trailer tow running light relay in the Central Junction Box (CJB) aka fuse/relay box.

Trailer backup lamps are powered by fuse 2.39(15A) thru the trailer tow backup lamp relay (CJB).

There are a number of in-line connectors between the power sources and the trailer connector. If you don't have power at any of the trailer connector circuits, the most likely thing is something got unplugged.

I had a similar problem on my 02. I found that the wires between the plug and the pigtail were all badly corroded. I ended up simply swapping the whole bracket with the 9 pin and the 4 pin plug.
