Will a bad fan clutch cause the truck to vibrate/shake at idle?

It could. With the engine OFF grab the fan and test for any back and forth (up and down) movement. If none, then your fan/clutch isn't the issue.

If it does wobble, get it changed ASAP.

I didn't feel any wobble so I doubt the fan clutch is my problem. Someone suggested that I check my motor mounts. What should I look for? Cracks/dry rot?

The truck has been doing this for years. I don't know if it's really a problem but dang it's annoying. Just a constant shake at idle. Enough to wiggle my dog's ears when he rides with me. I have had multiple shops look at it, covering just about every part of the fuel system.

I check motor mounts by using a hoist. If the mount is bad it will seperate.
