The family and I made our first real road trip this past week. We made a nearly 900 mile trip from our home in NC down to the wife's parents home in FL. When we first bought the X I started right away using Lucas fuel additive every time we bought fuel. From the get go it ran better and was averaging about 18 mpg on short trips on the HWY. From reading some other post's on the forum i decided to try the Clean Services. The first tank of fuel seem to do about the same as the Lucas but I didnt get to check the milage. We made the trip down to FL and the best MPG I got was 17.3 hand calculated, and no faster then 70 the entire trip. While in FL i used the rest of the Clean Services and switched back to the Lucas for the trip home just to see. No BS, I averaged 19.3 MPG doing the same speed, no faster than 70 MPH the entire trip home. Needless to say I will stick with Lucas The X seemed to run great with both additives, just better MPG from Lucas.

I've made the trip from WNC to Florida many times...

Long trip, depending which part of Florida we are headed to, but it's anywhere from 500 to 700 miles....
Running at 74 mph, @ 2200 rpm, I get 18/19 mpg regularly

Even before using a fuel additive....

I only use it now, as an additive to lubricate the injectors, because of the low sulphur...

My mixture formula, is 1 qt Power Service [gray bottle] to 1 gal 2 cycle oil...
making a 5 qt batch... I usually dump 1 qt per 1/2 tank fill of 24 gallons...
And YAH!!!! it's $100 fill...ouch

For me the biggest thing is to keep your RPM's below 2000 rpm..
Hell, if you can do that, you could increase your mileage all the way up to 24 mpg, just by doing 60 mph....

At 1500 rpm, could could get astounding mileage...of course you'd only be going 50 mph...
