No boost until 2000 rpms yesterday , now seems to be over boosting. Needed to take it in for the 05E15 recall anyway. Maybe I'll get the new and inproved turbo now. Only 29004 miles on the truck.

No lights. It goes in this afternoon and they will look at it in the AM on Wednesday, tech wanted it cold. He told me this will be the third one in a week with turbo issues. One threw codes the other didn't , and both had the same problem.

I've got a 2004 F350 Crew Cab 4X4 with 40k miles that's getting a new turbo as we speak. Threw codes once, then got the loaner datalogger from the dealer that pointed out the problems.

I know the turbo has been redesigned from the original, anybody know what's new and different, and why I should think it's not gonna happen again?

Does any one know what the part # for the new turbo is. Matt I have been following turbo issues on this site and I think the one you got is the old # some one correct me if I am wrong. I just had my third turbo installed (03 6.0)and havent received my paper work yet so I dont have the part # for this turbo.I want to be sure that I have the correct # for the new turbo as I have been told by the service manager that they were installing the latest newest designed turbo and if they didnt I intend to blow a little hot gas myself. So If anyone can help me with the correct # s I would be greatful.

According to the service manager, 5C3Z6K682 CA is the latest redesigned ("improved") turbo. I've had mine for about a week and all is well. (The whistle is back). And by the way, it runs great!

I'm not positive but I think that there are different #'s for different model years. Not finding much about it online though.
