An F250 would be a pretty heavy vehicle to tow behind a motor home, but yes you'd need to drop the driveshaft and unlock the front hubs to flat tow.

If you have a manual transfer case I believe you can safely tow by shifting it to neutral (check the manual). I did it that way for over 200 miles on a tow strap behind a chevy with my F350 when my clutch went out. DENNY

I've got a friend who tows his wife's Expedition to Palm Springs behind a high end motorhome. When he arrives at their winter destination he puts on the coveralls, crawls under the Ex and bolts the driveshaft back in place. He said the first time he did it the camp security looked at him crosswise but they got used to him after a few winters.

I also talked to a guy in Florida one winter who was flat towing his Crown Vic. He just put it in neutral and left the engine idling. He was from Ontario or Quebec so not a short tow. You do what works for you.
